Beautiful red 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with incredible looks, great style, and highly refined lines. Here is your opportunity to purchase a wonderful example of a true American Classic Car. This particular Thunderbird has been restored over the last 5 years and has been cared for by a discriminating female owner. This is a true Florida car and a real head turner. The car is nicely equipped with an original 4 speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes and seat belts. This is not a trans am copy like most out there, this is a true 4 speed manual transmission with an original 400 6.6 lts engine. The body is perfectly straight with very nice lines, this stunning Trans Am has very good red pain that still shines. We decided not to repaint it to allow the new owner pick the color. There are many black Bandit copies out there, so why not be original and keep it red. The body does reflect a few nicks and scratches from normal wear. All dings have been captured in pictures, so the buyer knows exactly what they are buying. The floors are original and in great condition with new carpet, the frame is very clean with no signs of repair or rust. This wonderful Firebird sits on 4 great vintage style tires. The V8 400 6.6 engine looks superb and runs great and was rebuilt 200 miles ago. When we got the car the body was great but the engine lacked power, just like it did when new. So the decision was made to rebuild with top of the line parts. The matching numbers engine was used as the core, in order to maintain the originality of the vehicle. Looking back, a high performance crate engine would have cost less but it wouldn’t have been right. The block was tanked and blueprinted. The original crank was used, ARP hardware was used in every possible part. The heads were polished. Edelbrock high performance cams and intake were used. Comp cams rockers and rollers, titanium springs and retainers. SRP forged 11 to 1 compression pistons. Felpro gaskets. Holley 600CFM electric choke carb. The exhaust was completely redone with hooker headers and magnaflow mufflers. The original engine parts, like the carb, headers, intake etc will also be included with the sale. The entire drive-train was also rebuilt, and it works perfect. Transmission was rebuilt at Miami Clutch and transmission, one of the best performance shops in south florida. This car is ready to go. The air conditioner was completely redone, works like a new car. The suspension was upgraded to all new Monroe performance shocks with coil over setup. The car handles much better than before. Awesome black carpet and door panels with all the chrome accents. The dash is in awesome shape with a new modern stereo. Overall the interior is in excellent condition. The original seats were removed for a set of new Pontiac leather seats that look and feel awesome. The original seats are in perft condition and will also be included in the sale. The clean and mint trunk has the jack and original spare tire.
